Kelcy Ballantyne - CEO, IT Partners

Kelcy is the CEO of IT Partners, a Waikato-based technology advisory and managed services organisation that supports local businesses to design, secure, and operate technology environments aligned with growth and resilience objectives.  

As CEO, Kelcy leads the company’s vision and operations, with a strong focus on ensuring services delivered to clients are a trusted, business-critical enabler of growth, resilience, and performance. She brings a strong interest in cyber security and governance, supporting businesses to better understand, prioritise, and manage technology risk at an executive and board level. Over the past five years, Kelcy has been heavily involved in the establishment and growth of IT Partners’ cyber security practice, helping shape an approach grounded in pragmatism, risk-based decision making, and continuous improvement.  

Kelcy’s leadership has been recognised across the industry, including being named Rising Star at the 2024 Women in ICT Awards. She holds Harvard Business School Leadership Principles certification and recently completed a Master of Digital Business at the University of Waikato, with research focused on the readiness of New Zealand organisations to adopt artificial intelligence.

What are the Waipā Tech Meetups?

This is an initiative brought to you by Rocketspark, Soda Inc., Belle PR, BNZ, and the Waipā District Council.

We offer a series of events, designed to bring Waipā-based tech businesses together for insights from local tech experts (or "tech-sperts"). Expect practical tips and techniques, opportunities to network with like-minded businesses, and drinks and nibbles in a casual, welcoming atmosphere.
