Waipa Tech Meetup #3 2026 - Looking beyond AI technology to the people it impacts
Date: Tuesday 21 July 2026
Location: Bridges Church, 28 Duke Street, Cambridge
AI is reshaping the way we recruit, work and lead. What happens when CVs and cover letters all start to sound the same, people feel mentally overloaded by AI tools, and leaders need to think harder and better about governance?
This Waipā Tech Meetup looks beyond the technology itself to the people it impacts.

Guest speakers
This session features a carefully curated panel of leaders working at the front line of how AI is reshaping the workplace. From recruitment through to organisational culture, our speakers will offer practical, human-centred perspectives on what AI is changing right now. Expect a grounded discussion on how roles are evolving, how organisations are adapting, and what it takes to balance technology with good judgement, capability and care for people.
Danielle Mickleson - Head of People and Culture at LondonGreen Group
Dannielle leads the People & Culture function across the LondonGreen Group (IT Partners, Lightwire), supporting technology and infrastructure businesses through growth, change, and increasing complexity. Her work focuses on aligning people, performance, and business outcomes, with particular experience across leadership development, organisational capability, employee experience, and change.
She is passionate about the opportunities AI presents, and about simplifying the challenges organisations face as they adopt it. While AI is unlocking significant gains in productivity, creativity, and innovation, many leaders are balancing this with capability building, well-being, and ensuring teams can adapt at a sustainable pace. Dannielle's focus is on helping organisations build the skills, confidence, and leadership practices needed to realise the benefits of AI, while keeping people at the centre of the journey.
Over the past decade, she has helped shape attraction, development, and retention strategies that have supported the LondonGreen Group's sustained growth.
Linley Steele - Founder of Great People Recruitment
Linley Steele is the founder of Great People Recruitment, a Cambridge-based specialist recruiter with over 20 years’ experience across finance and banking, SMEs, healthcare, not-for-profit, and executive roles. She is known for her structured, thorough approach to hiring, balancing technology with human judgment to achieve successful and consistent outcomes for both clients and candidates. Linley works closely with organisations as an extension of their team, helping them navigate modern recruitment challenges, including the impact of AI, bias and evolving candidate expectations.
